The President of Volleyball South Africa (VSA), Mr.Anthony Mokoena joins his Management and Executive Committees and the general South African volleyball fraternity in extending a warm and cordial welcome to you and trust that your stay in South Africa will be a pleasant and rewarding one.
While we waited patiently for your arrival in South Africa, we are now ecstatic that you are finally here in our midst ready to begin with, inter alia, the preparations of the women and men’s teams for the upcoming BRICS Games scheduled to take place in Durban from 18 to 21 October 2023. The annual BRICS Games are held amongst the members countries viz. Brazil, Russia, India, China and host nation South Africa.
Our participants for the Olympic Games Qualifier wait with great eagerness for you to put them through the paces to be medal hopefuls and claim the top spot as the African Zone 6 champions. Thereafter the African continent’s representatives will be decided at the final round of qualifiers for places in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
We are confident that with you driving our Beach Volleyball programme South Africa will soon regain the top spot that it occupied a decade ago in beach volleyball on the African continent.
