Leo Williams will partner with Grant Goldschimdt and they are already in the main draw through wildcard to battle up against the likes of Norway, Netherlands, USA, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Austria and many other top rankings countries in the world. Williams is 37 years old and he hails from Western Cape, Cape Town but he is currently based in Czech Republic. Leo is a highly experienced beach volleyball star and he has attained several accolades as follows: • 2nd position at the 2022 African Continent Commonwealth Qualifiers (Ghana) • Participated at the 2022 Commonwealth Games (England) • Reached the Final Leg of the 2021 Olympic Qualifiers (Morocco) • 2nd position at the 2019 FIVB World Tour (Cambodia) • 4th Position at the 2019 FIVB World Tour (Italy) • 1st position in 2018/2019 National Tours (Austrian and Czech Republic) • 1st position in 2019 Santa Monica event (USA) • 2nd Position at the African Championships 2015 & 2017 • Participated at the World Championships, Netherlands 2015 & Austria 2017 • 3rd position at the All-Africa Games 2015 • 9th Position at the 2014 FIVB Open in Mangaung, South Africa • 5th Position at the 2013 World Cup in Campinas, Brazil • Dominated all the SA domestic Beach Volleyball events Spectators are therefore encouraged to buy tickets in support of the South African Teams going to participate in the tourney which is history in the making.
